Being able to afford acedemic books and may things like rent and food makes the student budget tight. I suggest that we should get printing credit (perhaps around £5-10) at the start of the term/year from the uni to be able to afford to print documents out.

Lots of universities do this so it surprised me to find out Derby didn't! I 100 percent agree! (My old uni used to give postgrads aand 3rd years higher allowances as they usually have more printing to do too)

I'm currently studying at derby college as well as uni and at college we get an allowance each term and can then top up as needed
