Peer support sessions for students on placement

Being on placement can be a stressful time and sometimes you feel like you need to talk to people who are or have been in the same situation as you. Also, these sessions could allow students from different courses to discuss their placements and the opportunities they have had. If it is run through the union as well this could be counted as evidence towards Professional Development.

Great idea! Peer support is essential, and can be really useful speaking to someone who is going through the same thing

This is a fab idea!! Myself and some fellow students that were in the same local authority on placement last year arranged our own peer supervision sessions. This was put into our learning agreement contracts and really helped us through the placement. Would 100% support this :) (PTO Social and Communities)
