A working panel to undertake a review of the facilities at the library and current design. Sound levels too high on all levels at busy times. The lower ground floor is too noisy and used as a space to socialise - can this be all red. Ground floor is noisy, maybe all green with the group spaces on this level. The 1st floor remains amber with more signs explaining low sound levels and 2nd floor all red with signs, more spaces to work including honeycomb pods. How to report noise levels on signs.

5:54pm on 12 Nov 19 The library can be very noisy. Noise rises up the stairwell and light well. Many students have no concept of silence.

2:20pm on 13 Nov 19 Even within the amber and red areas there are excessive amounts of noise and many students do not respect that other students are using these areas for a reason.

11:37am on 29 Nov 19 Yes this is a problem. Perhaps staff could regularly check the red zones and confront those making the noise. People don't take notice of the signs and many students don't feel comfortable confronting others about this. Instead they will be forced to move and work somewhere else.
