Disabled students currently have no reliable way of being told about accessibility issues, support services, or resources. When the accessible parking is blocked off for coaches or construction, the East Tower lifts are out of order again, or the atrium is hosting activities, live music, and huge crowds, some students can't even get to their first lecture. A Network allows us to share accessibility information, peer support, useful resources and tips, and work together to improve accessibility.

Other universities already have Disabled Students' Networks in place, along with networks for other communities. You can check some out here: https://keelesu.com/yourunion/networks/ https://www.staffsunion.com/organisation/disablednetwork/ https://su.nottingham.ac.uk/activities/view/disabled-students Societies offer students who share interests a way to take part in social and development opportunities. Networks offer students who share characteristics or challenges a way to access support and campaign together on important topics. Students should not have to pay to access peer support from others in their community. Thank you for your consideration!

This sounds like a great idea I often times have or find little things that I think would be helpful to share but there is no where to put them!
