    Food and drink available whenever uni is open

    The university has a great range of facilities, but the majority of these close much earlier than what some of the lectures do. I propose that if there are classes running until 9pm, there should be something open with food and drink for students (at all times where timetables).

8:53am on 25 Jan 19 This should also be across all campuses - at Brit Mill my course is in 9:30am-6:30pm and sometimes we can't get anything from the canteen in our last break as it closes early

9:52am on 12 Feb 20 PASSED - the Union and the University are currently working to look out all services that are available to students during timetabled hours. The Union sits on a Task & Finish Group set up by the University to look at exactly this and we will continue to lobby for this. Due to the costs involved in opening retail outlets, this is a challenging idea - but one that we are pushing. In the meantime, you should have seen an increase in the number and quality of vending machines around all sites and there is an ongoing campaign to gather feedback on the food and drink provision; please email any thoughts to unifood@derby.ac.uk and we will continue to review all feedback alongside the relevant University staff.
