Dear Esteemed Members of the Nigerian Student Society,
It gives me great pleasure to submit my manifesto in my bid to become the University of Derby's Nigerian Student Society's treasurer. A committed individual with sound financial judgement, strong organisational abilities, and a drive to promote harmony and advancement in our community is required for this role. Permit me to briefly describe my goals and my dedication to helping you in this crucial position.
Accountability and Transparency in Finance: My main goal as Treasurer, should I be elected, would be to make sure that the society's finances are managed with the highest level of accountability and openness. I promise to keep accurate and current records and to regularly disclose financial information to the executive committee and the membership at large. Since openness breeds trust, I'm dedicated to creating an atmosphere where each member has faith in the financial control over our civilization.
Strategic Budgeting: I'll put in a lot of effort to develop a thorough, practical budget that supports the aims and objectives of the community. Funding for events, cultural pursuits, and community engagement initiatives are all included in this. I firmly think that comprehensive financial planning can optimise our resources and improve our members' overall experience.
Financial Empowerment and Education: Financial empowerment and literacy are subjects that I take great pride in. In my capacity as treasurer, I will start initiatives and seminars aimed at educating members about budgeting, fundraising, and money management. We can guarantee our society's long-term progress and sustainability by teaching these skills.
Fundraising and Cooperation: Any organization's success depends on its ability to collaborate. I'll aggressively look to collaborate with nearby companies, sponsors, as well as university assets, to get more money for our community. We can increase our influence and give our members even more worthwhile experiences by broadening our sources of revenue.
Inclusivity and Accessibility: I'm determined to make sure that everyone has access to the society's funds. In order to facilitate members' access to information on the budget, costs, and financing opportunities, I will endeavour to simplify financial procedures. I will aggressively seek your opinion and appreciate it in order to better adapt financial decisions to the requirements of our varied community.
Sustainable Projects: Understanding the value of sustainability, I will look into economic and environmentally beneficial options while making financial decisions. This entails reducing trash at events, looking at green projects, and being accountable for decisions that reflect our concern for the environment.
To sum up, I'm thrilled to have the chance to be your treasurer. By working together, we can make the University of Derby's Nigerian Student Society more powerful, transparent, and financially secure. I welcome your thoughts, worries, and recommendations and look forward to working with you to create a prosperous and vibrant cultural environment for our society.
I appreciate your thinking of me for this important position.
Sincerely,
Olamide Bakare
