Sam Bradley

Hi, my name is Sam Bradley & I’m running to be the Buxton Part-Time Education Officer! This is a very important position, as it is vital for students to receive the highest quality in all of their lectures, tutorials & practicals. 

As a Student Rep, I have listened to the views of my coursemates and brought about change and improvements where they felt necessary. Because of this, I am already familiar with the procedures in place for student concerns regarding their learning, and feel I can represent student views confidently and accurately. I now wish to continue to do this for the wider campus, helping all students on all courses feel confident they are getting the best education possible.

If elected, I plan to;

• Ensure students receive guest speakers, workshops and masterclasses from a variety of industry professionals, not just restricted to chefs like in the past!

• Receive better quality feedback from practical examinations and making sure students understand what is expected of them.

• Increasing support for, and better awareness of students' mental health.
