Union Sports Bursary Fund

The Union Sports Bursary Fund was established to encourage the development of coaches and officials within the University community, by providing individuals with financial support (in the form of a bursary or grant) to enable them to attain National Governing Body sports coaching or officiating qualifications.

The aim of this fund is to...

• Increase the number of qualified coaches at the University
• Increase the number of students volunteering in sport
• Deploy coaches and officials to support our Union Clubs
• Improve the level of coaching offered to our Sports Clubs

The funding is limited so it is recommended that individuals apply as close to the start of the new academic year as possible.
