As preparations begin for September Freshers 24/25, the Union of Students has decided to hold a little competition. As part of the fresher’s event, every new student will receive a welcome bag on behalf of the Union. Printed on each bag is the Union of Students logo. This year we are giving you, our students, a chance to design the freshers logo to go on our bags!
Here are the guidelines:
- No inappropriate content. Pretty self-explanatory.
- Must be one colour, ideally black. The colour of the bag will act as the second colour.
- Be creative! Go outside the lines, think outside the box, experiment with different mediums.
- Please submit your designs as a PDF (submissions in any other format won't be counted as an entry).
Here is a logo for you to use as a base.
What will you get if you win:
- Each bag will feature your design, along with your name listed underneath.
- You can use it as an example in your portfolio as work provided to the Union of Students.
- A free University of Derby hoodie.
The final submission date will be the 1st of July at 9.00am. We will be reviewing all submissions during the week and will announce the winner on Friday the 5th of July. Please submit you designs to the following email: gabriella.anderson@derbyunion.co.uk with the subject including “Welcome Bag Submission.”
