One of the Union’s ultimate goals is to create change that our members want by championing their voice to the University; a key way that we do this is through elections. These provide an opportunity for elected individuals to work with the Union to voice student opinions, concerns and feedback to the University. Students can get in touch with the Executive Officers to raise any issues and work with them to create positive change and improve student experiences.
The elections help shape the Union by creating a platform for Executive Officers to enact real change within the University. Throughout the year, the Union will work closely with the officers to help create a vibrant community that members are proud to be a part of.
By exercising your democratic right to vote, you can contribute to electing the officers that best serve the wants and the needs of the student body, which will ultimately create better experiences throughout your studies, both inside and outside of the classroom. Each candidate will produce a manifesto with their key points, so you can find a candidate whose views align with your own. Change is at the heart of everything we do, and you are at the heart of every change we make. You can contribute to this change by getting involved in the elections.
