Are you ready to make the most of the remaining weeks of term? We are here to ensure your schedule is packed with excitement and fun. From the return of basketball into our Just Play programme, to a double points hall’s sports week, and our Santa Run, there's something for everyone. Basketball Returns to Just Play Social Sport Programme
The much-anticipated return of basketball to our Just Play Social Sport Programme is here! Looking to shoot some hoops or simply want to get active and meet new friends? Join us Fridays 4pm-5pm in the sports hall. Sessions are £1.50, which can be purchased at the sports centre reception. Sign up in advance on the app, in the Just Play community to guarantee your place. Not played basketball before – no problem, our Basketball Activator will be on hand to support you.
Halls Sport Double Points Week
Nunnery Court is currently running away with the hall’s leaderboard, but with two competitions still to come this term, you can still determine who’s sitting top at Christmas! Get ready for fierce rivalry across the halls and be sure to sign up and take part in our competitions to secure those all-important points…

Santa Run & Walk
As the term winds down, we’ll be getting into the Christmas spirit with our festive run and walk around Markeaton Park. Gather your friends for some festive cheer, wear your favourite Christmas jumper and see off the term in style! Spot prizes for best festive outfit and entry into our Santa Run prize draw for all finishers Live in halls? Make sure you email teamderby@derby.ac.uk with your halls of residence to earn points for your halls.
Friday 8th December, at 12.20pm (walk) and 12.30pm (run), Markeaton Park.

Want to take part but worried about the distance? You can get some help and be Santa Run ready – simply join us in the Just Move community and sign-up to the Couch to 5k programme challenges over the next six weeks to help you reach the finish line with confidence.
