On Friday 24th February, Phantom Radio ran a 24-hour long radio show to raise money for St John’s Ambulance and the Padley Group.
The show started at 10.00am with the radio committee launching the event and then each show host taking a two-hour time slot over the 24 hours. It continued to run throughout the night, with shows running into the early hours of the morning hosted by some very tired radio hosts! We also had some special guests on the show, including the head of RAG, the head of pole fitness and the head of squash. They talked about RAG week and shared what they had done to raise money. Throughout the night, there was lots of dancing in the studio, singing and plenty of coffee consumed to stay awake through the night. It was great fun for all the hosts, and everyone enjoyed raising money for charity. The radio committee ended the show at 10am on Saturday morning, successfully completely the 24-hour show.
In total 24 Hours Live raised an amazing £757, beating our £100 target massively. Phantom Radio are very proud of this great achievement and everyone loved taking part.
