Policing
Welcome to the Policing Society!
The Policing Society is a new society for the 2024/25 academic years, so please bear with us whilst we get things up and running. However, we have many exciting ideas and plans in store for you all, and we hope you join us this year!
What can the policing society offer me?
- Opportunities to practice and learn new and current skills: by doing this, we hope to help you improve on skills that will prepare you for your future careers. Learning new skills can boost your confidence, increase your skillset and gives you more motivation to use your skills in practice.Eg. in the police you need to be able to use critical thinking skills to make decisions in stressful situations.
- A chance to meet like-minded people with an appreciation for policing or similar roles as well making new friends
- Opportunities to volunteer in activities and raise money for charities to be able to help make a change and support current campaigns
- A chance to attend a range of different socials: we hope to hold many different social events from murder mystery nights, guest speakers, learning something new and fun drinking socials
Once we are fully up and running this year, we cannot wait to meet you all!
Do I have to be studying policing to join the society ?
No, anyone can join our society no matter what course your studying even if it isn't policing related, everyone is welcome to join.
How much will my membership cost me ?
